GatorBar FRP Rebar for Concrete

Excellent for concrete counter tops!

Gator Bar is a lighter, stronger, and better priced alternative to steel rebar, GatorBar is a composite material comprised of a fiber (carbon, glass, aramid, basalt) that provides strength and stiffness, and a matrix (polyester, epoxy, vinyl ester) that protects and transfers load between the fibers. It is primarily used to reinforce concrete.

  • Rust-free FRP rebar at the price of steel
  • Higher tensile strength means that (#3) 3/8″ GatorBar can replace (#4) 1/2″ steel rebar
  • 2x stronger with 7x weight advantage
  • 25 pieces of Gator Bar = just 47 lbs
  • Pre-tied grids can be carried by two people
  • Lower transport cost and hassle
  • Springs back and stays centered

GatorBar can be cut with a high speed grinding cutter, fine blade saw, diamond blade, or masonry blade.  Proper safety equipment including gloves and goggles hould be worn when cutting.

GatorBar should be stored above the surface of the ground on skids or pallets. If it must be stored outside, we advise that you place a tarp over it, as UV rays may damage the performance of the bars over time.
