$409.00 each Weight: 10 lb

304 Grade - Cold Rolled - 16 Gauge Stainless Steel

With tight curved corners, this wide, single-basin apron, or farmhouse, design takes on the form of yesterday; but its bold front flaunts the shimmering stainless steel construction of today. This model is 304-grade, cold rolled steel, at a 16-gauge thickness; 25% thicker than the industry standard 18-gauge. The surface is given a brushed-satin finish which adds to its luster and masks minor scratches which could occur over time. Dense, sound-dampening pads and an insulation coating are applied to its underside. Where other sinks are dropped into a hole in the countertop, the apron sink fits into an opening in the front of the cabinet, typically supported by wood side mounts. Overall, it measures 32 3/4" x 20" x 10", is cUPC certified and features a limited lifetime warranty .

Installation

For an apron front sink, the easiest way, is to use the profile form around the three edges of the sink. You do want to make sure that when you set the height of your sink, it is 1/8" - 1/4" lower than the top of the cabinet. The sink will not be in place when you pour the countertop. Once the forms have been removed, you can slide the sink in under the countertop overhang and caulk around the sink.

If you want a flat edge around the sink and are not using the square profile form, you may have to get more creative with forming out your sink opening. One option would be to use lumber similar to how it is done for a stove opening. This can be seen near the 4 minute mark in the Full Instructional Video . One difference is you will want to have the concrete overhang the sink opening (not sit flush like the stove opening). This way the concrete will cover the top of the sink wall.
