Kwik Top Concrete Countertop Bracket

Product Description

The Kwik Top Bracket system is a tool that allows you a fairly quick and easy way to put in place forms to pour a concrete countertop or similar surface.  These brackets are quickly attached or put in place along the cabinet face and then readily accept common 1×3 boards as the form walls.

One bracket design is made to attach to the top support of a drawer opening.  Those are a very standard size and place the bracket so that the countertop gives you a slight overhang and flush finish to the top of the cabinets.  The other bracket is designed to insert under the platform board used as the base for pouring the countertop, typically 1/2 0r 5/8 inch cement board of sorts. The system accommodates about any textured or shaped liner so you can have nearly unlimited edge designs.  You can alter the width of the overhang by using different thicknesses of lumber for the backer.  In other words, these brackets can allow you to do something as thin as an inch or as thick as 3.5 inches, with just varying your backer board and/or liner.

Another time saver is the no need for mitering corners.  Quick butt joints and simple screws is all that is needed. Once the pieces are in place, you use some tape to seal off any spaces to prevent concrete leakage and proceed with your pour and finish.  Once the concrete is cured, take it down is done in minutes.  You can clean your boards and brackets and put them away for the next project–No need to throw anything away!

Check out the video here to get an idea of how it all works. We used both types of brackets to show they are easily used together.
